Annegret Schönbeck studied church music and singing (historical performance practice) in Frankfurt/Main as well as organ and singing at the Schola Cantorum in Basel. She initially worked as a cantor in Frankfurt/Main and now is the organist at the Hus-Schnitger organ in the church of St Cosmae et Damiani in Stade.
Since 2006, she has been in charge of the "Old Organs for Young People" project at the Stade Organ Academy, which she founded and whose programmes include the Stade Youth Organ Forum. She has given concerts in Germany and abroad and has taken part in radio and CD productions, including with the Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble and "La Stagione Frankfurt".
