Juri Tetzlaff is the founding presenter of the children's television channel KIKA. Since 1997, he has been the face of the channel, presenting a wide variety of programmes and formats, including the game shows "Kikania" and "Tigerenten Club", the media magazine "Trickbox" and the pre-school programmes "Mitmachmühle" and "Baumhaus".
In addition to his screen work as a presenter, singer and storyteller, he also works as a scriptwriter and director for television productions. Since 2001, Juri Tetzlaff has also designed and presented classical music programmes for the whole family and, with over 100 concerts a year, is one of the most sought-after classical music presenters in Germany. His adaptations of "Peter and the Wolf", "Carnival of the Animals", "Hansel and Gretel" and "The Firebird" have also been released on CD.
Regular engagements have taken him to the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Essen Philharmonic Orchestra, Mannheim National Theatre and other orchestras and theatres. He has conceived and presented concerts with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSB), the MDR Symphony Orchestra, the SWR Symphony Orchestra, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Radio Orchestra, the WDR Funkhaus Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
