Join us on an exciting journey back in time to the era of Johann Sebastian Bach around 1700.
Costume designer Angela Gottschalk will present costumes from the Baroque period and dress a lady in a boudoir. Discover what a boudoir is and more about the period.
What did life look like during Bach’s time? Were the clothes comfortable? Did he always wear a wig? What did the ladies look like? The Baroque era was one of splendour, glamour, beautiful buildings, wonderful gardens, great art, and music.
Angela Gottschalk will discuss fabrics and the history of the period, demonstrate hand sewing, and offer a chance for participants to try sewing themselves. Surprise fabric sample bags will be available to take home, and participants can also have their photos taken in Baroque costumes.
(Note: The number of participants is limited to 20 people)
