Israeli-born cellist and composer Matt Haimovitz is dedicated to both the classical repertoire and the interpretation of contemporary works. He is known worldwide for his magnificent recordings of the Bach Cello Suites and has always built musical bridges to contemporary music. He has commissioned contemporary composers to write pieces based on Bach’s cello suites. “I was always looking for new ways to connect with Bach’s music,” says Haimovitz.

At Schloss Agathenburg, the multiple Grammy-nominated cellist will combine Bach’s cello suites with contemporary music in a fascinating way.
